Aloo Bhorta Recipe

Aloo Bhorta is a simple yet flavorful mashed potato dish that brings comfort to every meal. It is best served with rice.

Ingredients for Aloo Bhorta

  • P Mark Kachi Ghani Mustard Oil – 2 tbsp

  • Potatoes – 2 (boiled and peeled)

  • Dry red chili – 1

  • Onion – 1 (thinly sliced)

  • Coriander leaves – A few sprigs (finely chopped)

  • Salt – According to taste

Method for Aloo Bhorta

  1. Start by boiling the potatoes in a cooker or a pot until soft. Peel and mash them thoroughly in a large bowl using a masher or fork.

  2. Heat 1 tbsp of P Mark Kachi Ghani Mustard Oil in a small frying pan. Add the dry red chilli and sliced onions. Sauté until the onions turn golden brown and the chilli is fragrant.

  3. Pour the tempered chilli, and onions over the mashed potatoes. Drizzle another tablespoon of mustard oil for added flavour.

  4. Add salt to taste and mix everything well. Sprinkle some freshly chopped coriander leaves.

  5. Your Aloo Bhorta is ready! Form a small ball of the Aloo Bhorta and serve it on top of steaming hot rice for the perfect comfort meal.
