This recipe is great for parties or as a treat any time. Making your own onion rings at home is easy and lets you customize them according to your preferences!

Ingredients for Crispy Onion Rings

  • P Mark Kachi Ghani Mustard oil: 2 tbsp

  • Onions: 3-4 medium onions (cut into roundels, layers separated and soaked)

  • Refined Flour: 11/2 cups

  • Paprika: 1 tsp

  • Dried Mix Herbs: 1 tsp

  • Onion Powder: 1 tsp

  • Garlic Powder: 1 tsp

  • Mustard Paste: 1 tsp

  • Cornflakes: 1/2 cup (crushed)

  • Breadcrumbs: 1/2 cup

  • Fresh Parsley/Dhania: 1/4 cup (chopped)

  • Crushed Black Peppercorns: According to taste

  • Salt: According to taste

Method for Crispy Onion Rings

  1. Heat mustard oil in a non-stick wide pan.

  2. Combine 1 cup flour, paprika, dried mixed herbs, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, crushed peppercorns and mustard paste in a bowl and mix. Add some water and whisk well to make a smooth batter.

  3. Pat dry soaked onion rings on absorbent paper.

  4. Take the remaining flour in a bowl, coat the onion rings with it and transfer it onto a plate.

  5. Spread cornflakes, breadcrumbs and chopped dhania on another plate and mix well.

  6. Dip onion rings in prepared batter and coat with cornflakes-breadcrumbs mixture and transfer to another plate.

  7. Deep-fry prepared onion rings in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.

  8. Your Crispy Onion Rings are ready. Serve them hot.
