Palong Shaak Recipe

Enjoy the flavors of Bengal with this special delicacy that captures the essence of mustard oil-infused cooking.

Ingredients

  1. Spinach: 8 cups (chopped)

  2. P Mark Mustard oil: 2 tbsp

  3. Green chili paste: ½ tsp

  4. Garlic: 2 tsp (chopped)

  5. Ginger paste: 1 tsp

  6. Onions: 1 cup (sliced)

  7. Turmeric powder: ½ tsp

  8. Cumin seed powder: 1 tsp

  9. Salt: According to taste

Method

  1. Heat the mustard oil in a non-stick pan.

  2. Add the green chili paste, garlic, ginger paste, and onions to the pan and saute over medium flame for 3-4 minutes.

  3. Put the spinach in the pan, mix thoroughly, and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes.

  4. Add the turmeric powder, cumin seed powder, and salt. Mix well, cover with a lid, and cook on a medium flame for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  5. Serve hot with phulkas or parathas.
